For our final stop in our Charity Spotlight Series we enjoyed an enlightening trip to the Amicus Trust in Luton

We’ve reached the final stop in our Charity Spotlight series, where we’ve been revisiting some of the incredible organisations we supported at the end of last year.
We had the privilege of spending time with Chris Pavey at the Amicus Trust in Luton, and what an inspiring visit it was.
Based in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, Amicus Trust does far more than provide safe accommodation for those facing homelessness. Their mission is to break the cycle of homelessness for good, and seeing their work first‑hand truly brought that mission to life.
Amicus Trust supports residents through:
* Stable, supported housing
* Cooking tuition, helping residents learn to prepare meals confidently
* Gardening projects, building routine, pride, and wellbeing
* Decorating and maintaining their homes, giving residents ownership of their space
* Life skills courses covering independence, budgeting, and employment readiness
* Alcohol and substance misuse support
* Mental health and confidence‑building activities, empowering residents to embrace a positive future
We were invited to tour one of their homes in Luton, where we met some residents who generously shared their journeys with us. It was deeply humbling and a real reminder of how transformative the right support can be.We were reminded that homelessness is never just about housing. It’s about rebuilding confidence, restoring dignity, and creating opportunities.
Thank you Chris and your team at Amicus Trust, for the inspiring work you do and for inviting and welcoming us so openly.
