Large Grant Programme Application Process

Our Large Grant Programme supports National Charities from funds raised at the Arora Ball, whose work aligns with one of the following charitable objectives:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be able to demonstrate that the work you wish to do meets our charitable purpose/objects.
  • We understand that the funds awarded may contribute to a larger initiative, whether that’s a research project, the development of a new patient facility, or another meaningful endeavour. While we’re happy for you to allocate the funding as needed, we do require robust monitoring and evaluation at the end of the 12-month funding period, so we can see where funding has been spent.
  • Organisations must be registered with the Charity Commission and hold a valid charity number.
  • Must provide audited financial statements for the last year with a clear reserves policy in place.
  • Maintain current policies on safeguarding, equality & diversity, and data protection.
  • Have returned evaluation forms for any previously received grants.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successful programme delivery at scale.
  • Can collaborate with our events team in the lead up to the Ball and contribute to the planning and promotional activities.
  • Secure attendance for a minimum of ten tables at the event, ensuring strong representation and engagement.
  • Be represented at the Ball in person, prepared to deliver a short presentation and engage with guests to share the charity’s mission and impact.
  • Have not been supported in the previous year.
  • Have a governing document – for example a Constitution or Set of Rules.
  • Have a Management Committee or Board of Trustees.
  • Allow representatives from the Arora charitable Foundation to visit your
    organisation to see where funding has been spent.

Small Grant Programme Application Process

Our Small Grant Programme will disperse grant amounts up to £5k - designed for smaller charities and community groups whose work aligns with the following charitable objectives:

    Fostering community development and participation
    Supporting local organisations & initiatives that strengthen community bonds, or activities that promote social inclusion and civic engagement
  • Tick
    Improving health and well-being
    Promoting healthy lifestyles, providing access to healthcare services, healthy food or supporting initiatives that address specific health concerns in the community.
  • Tick
    Relieving poverty and hardship
    Aiding those facing financial difficulties or needing basic necessities like food and shelter.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Apply officially via the Arora Charitable Foundation website when funding rounds open, no applications will be considered outside of this.
  • To qualify for support, you must be able to demonstrate that the project you wish to do meets our charitable objectives.
  • The Foundation will not fund salaries, rent or other overheads, except for core costs that are fundamental to the delivery of your project.
  • You can be a registered charity, CIC, Community Group or Unincorporated association; however, your organisation must meet the essential requirements of having exclusively charitable purposes according to the law of England & Wales
  • Your organisation’s registered office and area of benefit must be based within a 5 miles radius of selected Arora hotels – London Intercontinental O2 Hotel, Novotel London West Hotel, Heathrow area, Luton area, Gatwick area, Stansted area or Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel. Please use the location tracker at the bottom of this page to input your postcode and ensure you are eligible to apply.
  • You must provide one year of audited or independently examined published accounts
  • Provide evidence of project need & interest from the local community you support
  • Be fully constituted with your own bank account, with at least two unrelated signatories.
  • Projects must not unfairly exclude individuals from participating.
  • Have the necessary policies in place relevant to the type of beneficiaries the organisation works with, including a safeguarding policy for children, young people & vulnerable adults and equality & diversity.
  • Applications for projects in places of worship must show that they serve the wider community, like a village hall or community centre attracting significant wider weekly group use.
  • You must demonstrate that your project will be completed within one year of the funding agreement being issued.
  • Has not been a beneficiary of a grant within the past 12 months.

The Small Grant Programme requires your organisation to be within a 5-mile radius of an Arora Hotel (London, Heathrow, Luton, Gatwick, Stansted, or Englefield Green). The next round for this fund opens on the 2nd March, 2026.
