

Sunita Arora is the founding Chair of Trustees of The Arora Charitable Foundation, a role she has held with passion and dedication since its inception. A committed philanthropist, she has been instrumental in raising millions of pounds for charitable causes over the past decade, with a particular focus on health; supporting medical treatment, health research, terminal care, and community wellbeing.
Since 2012, Sunita Arora has been the visionary behind the celebrated Arora Balls; a series of spectacular fundraising galas that have become a defining feature of The Arora Charitable Foundation’s philanthropic calendar. These elegant and emotionally resonant events unite supporters, partners, and beneficiaries in a shared commitment to making a difference. Since 2012, the Arora Balls have successfully raised £5.6 million, while also amplifying awareness for vital causes.
In recognition of her incredible work and unwavering dedication to charity, Sunita was awarded an OBE in June 2025 by His Majesty the King.
Beyond her leadership of the Foundation, Sunita has served as an Ambassador for Thames Hospice since 2021, championing compassionate care and support for families across the region.
Outside of her charitable work, Sunita is a successful entrepreneur and the owner-operator of a group of award-winning nurseries for young children, recognised for their excellence in early years education and nurturing environments.
Her personal interests include interior design, the arts, and supporting initiatives that make a lasting difference in people’s lives. She lives in Surrey with her husband and is a proud mother of three. In her spare time, she enjoys being actively involved in the lives of her many grandchildren.


Guy has worked with the Arora Group since 1998, when he joined the Company as General Manager of its first hotel at Heathrow Airport. As the Company grew, he took on various roles, culminating in 2005 with an appointment to the Board and the position of Group Managing Director. Guy held this role until retiring at the end of 2017 but has remained a Board member of the Group to this day.
Guy's longstanding association with the Group and deep alignment with its values have naturally extended into his involvement with its philanthropic initiatives. With a strong personal commitment to charitable causes, Guy continues to support the Group’s efforts to make a meaningful impact through its charitable work. Guy's dedication reflects a shared belief in the importance of giving back and fostering positive change both locally and nationally


John Gill CEng MIET is a Chartered Engineer and business leader with over 36 years in the UK transport industry. He has held senior director roles at Network Rail, leading major programmes in infrastructure, operations, and business development, including the Network Rail/LOROL Alliance during the London 2012 Olympic Games. As Executive Advisor at JG Partnership Limited, John now supports transformational infrastructure and property projects in London, including redevelopments at London Victoria, Charing Cross, and Project SWAN. He is recognised for his safety-first approach, strategic vision, and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
John accepted a position as trustee to use his professional experience to give something back and support a cause that makes a real difference to people’s lives. He was drawn to the charity’s mission and its positive impact on the community and looks forward to being active in helping the charity to grow and continue its vital work.


Chris is an experienced business professional. A chartered accountant by trade he has led global businesses for most of his life. He is now involved in the private equity space and investment businesses. He is well known for a focus on values based leadership. He has a passion for service and technology which has shaped his career over the years.
Chris has always had a passion for doing more within and for the community. He has been involved in supporting his local churches throughout his life and has led many charitable initiatives in his own right. Over the years Chris has held trusteeships on the Global Boards of many charities including, Africa Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and the then Prince of Wales’s charities, In kind Direct and Business in the Community.
Chris accepted the position as trustee of the Arora Charitable Foundation as he feels passionately about the causes it supports. He was introduced to the Foundation through his business network and is a committed supporter of its work helping small and large charities achieve more. For Chris, this role is a natural extension of his lifelong dedication to charitable work, and he shares the values on which the Foundation was established and operates


Dr Raj Arora is one of the most prominent and well respected experts within the UK medical landscape; a medical educator, a highly respected NHS GP, a media doctor and the founder of The Facebible Clinic.
Dr Arora studied at Barts and Royal London Medical School where she graduated with an MBBS and a BSc in Medical Education. She has used her studies to broaden her interest in public health and thus works with the World Health Organisation “Fides” project to fight misinformation and raise evidence based health content. She believes that patients should have access to knowledge and resources to allow them to make informed choices about their own health.
As a woman of colour, Dr Arora is keen to dismantle health inequalities facing many women from ethnic minority, socially disadvantaged and LGBTQ backgrounds. She understands the cultural and social barriers to health access that can present in these groups. Dr Arora believes that individuals should have equal access to health care services regardless of their background or the language that they speak.
As an active Philanthropist, Dr Arora has worked alongside the founder Sunita to raise millions of pounds for various charitable causes and is also a medical ambassador for several national and global charities. Dr Arora is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives both locally and nationally.
Outside of work, Dr Arora is a mother to her two young children, and she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
