Trustee visit to Diabetes UK

Trustee visit to Diabetes UK

Last week we had the pleasure of visiting Diabetes UK with our Trustees and it was an incredibly inspiring and insightful experience.

Having supported their helpline and research through funding in 2022, it was fantastic to see first hand how these services have grown and evolved, and the real difference they are making to people living with diabetes.

We were particularly struck by the scale of their impact - from thousands of people supported through community outreach and volunteers, to the vital role of the helpline providing trusted, one-to-one support when people need it most. It was also insightful to learn more about their research and their strong focus on tackling inequality, ensuring no one is left behind.

A real highlight was hearing directly from Colette Marshall, Anna Morris, and members of the Lived Experience Advisory Committee, whose insight and voices are shaping truly inclusive and meaningful services.

Thank you to the entire Diabetes UK team for such a warm welcome and for sharing your inspiring work with us!
