Transforming Children’s Futures: The Arora Ball’s Impact on Save the Children
We are very grateful to Sunita Arora and Dr Raj Arora for leading the Arora Ball, raising over £500,000 for Save the Children’s work. This vital support allows us to reach the most vulnerable children quickly, providing urgent support to families in the UK, protecting children in conflict zones, and tackling preventable diseases globally. Working in over 100 countries, including the UK, Save the Children ensures children are safe, healthy, and learning. This generous contribution will transform lives today and help build brighter futures for children everywhere.

— Moazzam Malik, Save the Children CEO

Save the Children exists to help every child get the chance of a future they deserve.

In more than 90 countries, Save the Children ensures children stay safe, healthy, and learning. We find new ways to reach children who need us most, no matter where they're growing up.

For over a century, we've stood up for children's rights and made sure their voices are heard. We work with children, for children, to change their future for good.

In the UK, we’ve supported over 5,990 families impacted by the cost-of-living crisis by providing grants so that parents can buy food, warm clothes and essential items like beds for their children. Together with local partners, we co-founded the Baby Bank Alliance, which supports  400 baby banks nationwide, giving families experiencing hardship or poverty access to clothes, nappies, toiletries, toys, and other necessities- ensuring that no baby or child goes without the essentials they need to thrive.

Internationally, our work is transforming lives in some of the world’s most challenging places. In South Sudan, our family tracing teams have reunited a record 7,000 children with their families after being separated by conflict. In Rwanda, we partnered with local organisations to develop an antiseptic gel that has the potential to save up to half a million newborn lives. In Gaza, we established two Primary Health Care Centres providing vital services for mothers and children, and 28 temporary Learning Centres, where children can study English, Maths, and Arabic, helping to restore a sense of normality in a country devastated by conflict.

In 2024 Save the Children UK and Save the Children International supported 162.4 million children around the world.
